JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates/oversees the daily functions/activities of assigned region and home clinic.
- Assure patient satisfaction goals, clinical goals and quality standards are met.
- Supervises and provides coaching for employees within scope of responsibility.
- Schedules staff members to ensure adequate coverage.
- Assures that all employees within scope of responsibility have adequate knowledge of the required policies & procedures.
- Prepare and maintain budgets to meet the departmental and organizational goals including personnel, expense and revenue. Communication:
- Responsible for efficient & effective communication between Clinic Staff, NMMC, NMMCI, and NMHS Administrative staff. Regulatory:
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC/NMMCI Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
- Complies with State/Federal/Regulatory laws/policies/guidelines. Additional Responsibilities:
- On-boarding new manager as well as providing continuing education/coaching to assigned region.
- Coordinates with the Director/Regional Director in budget preparation and financial success of assigned region.
- Serves as a resource to other practice managers regarding quality/value-based initiatives.
- Assures adequate team/provider staffing in regional clinics.
- Coordinates and leads special projects with the Director/Regional Director in an effort to maximize operation.
- Supports multiple clinics as needed to cover vacancies
- Functions at a higher level of leadership to support clinic administration projects as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in business management or related field. Required
- Associate's Degree with 4 years of clinic manager experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. Required
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent associate degree with 8 years of clinic manager experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree. Required
Work Experience
- 1-3 years. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience. Required
- 4-6 years. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinic or other ambulatory setting. Preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work well with a wide variety of people
- Excellent written, computer, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills; (written and oral)
- Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations regarding clinic systems; preferred
- Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics
- Must have extensive contact with patients, family members, staff, providers, insurance companies, and industry representatives
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must reflect a positive, caring attitude toward clients, patients, staff and the public we serve
- Ability to staff clinics during various situations such as absence, peak, and slow times
- Ability to address customer service complaints
- Ability to adhere to clinic budgets
- Ability to communication issues to patients, staff, and public in an effective and confidential manner
