This role also involves coordination with other healthcare professionals, adherence to regulations, and making clinical decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. | **JOB** **FUNCTIONS** | | --- | Supervisory: * Delegates authority to COTAs and technicians. * Provides supervisory visits according to state regulations. Budget: * Remains within monthly budget when ordering equipment and supplies. * Charges patients appropriately and in a timely manner for treatment and equipment. Clinical: * Maintains productivity level at department target. * Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Occupational Therapy. Remains competent in the following areas: * Evaluation. * Therapeutic Exercise/Activity. * ADL training. * Cognitive skills. * Wheelchair transfers. * Splinting. * Modalities as appropriate for OT. * Attends and provides continuing education inservices. * Serves as mentor for new employees. * Serves as clinical instructor after one year of experience as a clinician. * Completes documentation according to all regulations and in a timely manner. Other: * Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes.
