Patient Care/Transport
- Assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other medical provider
- Take patients vital signs, assist with daily activities, administer medication, attend to patient needs
- Assess the transportation needs of the patient (wheelchair, lifting assistance, etc.)
- Assists patient with sign-in process
- Directs ambulatory patients/family members to appropriate location within Cancer Center Communication:
- Greets patient/family members in a courteous and helpful manner
- Effectively communicates with staff members Recordkeeping/Reports:
- Observe patients’ condition and reports any changes in condition to the Registered Nurse/medical provider for further assessment
- Documents patient interaction as needed Education:
- Maintain continuing educations requirements Stock:
- Assist with transporting supplies and restocking Regulatory:
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal procedures/guidelines/regulations
