JV Girls Lacrosse Coach

Junior Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach North Middlesex Regional High School North Middlesex Regional High School is seeking a qualified, motivated, and student-centered candidate for the position of Junior Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach. The JV Girls Lacrosse Coach will work collaboratively with the Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Department to provide a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience for student-athletes. The JV program serves as an important developmental component of the overall North Middlesex Girls Lacrosse Program, with an emphasis on preparing student-athletes for future varsity competition. Responsibilities Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices focused on individual skill development, team concepts, conditioning, and game preparation. Develop student-athletes with the goal of preparing them for future varsity competition. Implement the philosophy, terminology, systems, expectations, and developmental priorities established by the Head Varsity Coach. Work collaboratively with the varsity coaching staff regarding player development, roster movement, and overall program needs. Provide instruction and constructive feedback to student-athletes in individual and team settings. Teach offensive, defensive, transition, draw, goalie, and special-situation concepts appropriate for the JV level. Coach and supervise all assigned practices, games, and team activities. Establish clear expectations for effort, accountability, attendance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and behavior. Promote academic responsibility and positive representation of North Middlesex. Maintain appropriate supervision of student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests, including locker rooms and athletic facilities. Communicate professionally with student-athletes, families, coaches, administrators, officials, and opposing programs. Follow and reinforce the Athletic Department's communication protocol. Prioritize student-athlete health and safety and follow all applicable emergency, concussion, weather, and return-to-play procedures. Assist with equipment, uniforms, field setup, inventory, and other operational responsibilities associated with the program. Attend required practices, contests, coaching staff meetings, Athletic Department meetings, and program activities. Work collaboratively with coaches at all levels to promote consistency and development throughout the girls lacrosse program. Follow all North Middlesex Regional School District, Athletic Department, Mid-Wach League, and MIAA policies, rules, and procedures. Perform additional program-related duties as assigned by the Head Varsity Coach or Director of Athletics. Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: Previous girls lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience. Knowledge of girls lacrosse fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development. Previous high school or competitive lacrosse coaching experience preferred. Ability to effectively teach and develop student-athletes with varying levels of experience. Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively within the overall girls lacrosse coaching staff. Commitment to creating a positive, competitive, inclusive, and development-focused environment. Commitment to student-athlete academic achievement, character development, sportsmanship, and overall well-being. Willingness to support a program-first philosophy and the overall goals of North Middlesex Girls Lacrosse. Completion of all required district and MIAA coaching certifications prior to participation. The successful candidate will understand that the JV level is a critical developmental step within the overall girls lacrosse program. The coach will prioritize individual growth, team development, accountability, competitive improvement, and preparation for future varsity opportunities while supporting the philosophy and direction established by the Head Varsity Coach.
