Analyze Implementation of the 2024 Skills Block Scope & Sequence (Grades K–3) Gather and review classroom-based data and student outcomes related to the 2024 Skills Block Benchmark Assessments and instructional resources. Collect and reflect on teacher feedback about pacing, resource usability, student engagement, and instructional impact. Identify trends, challenges, and best practices to inform district recommendations and support. 2. Explore the 2025 EL Education K–4 Modules Preview and engage with newly released 2025 EL Modules, identifying key shifts and instructional implications. Where applicable, pilot select components and provide structured feedback on alignment and usability. Contribute to developing district guidance for potential future implementation. 3. Collaborate and Contribute to Continuous Improvement Participate in 5–6 collaborative sessions (2 hours each) during the school year to: Analyze student data and feedback related to Skills Block implementation, support building-based teams with collecting and analyzing student data AND using data to develop implementation plan (using protocols) Discuss Module findings and recommendations Develop shared strategies and guidance for classroom application Commitment: Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings (2 hours per session, 5–6 times during the school year). Actively collect and bring forward relevant classroom data and feedback. Serve as a thought partner and grade-level liaison, supporting communication between teachers and the district literacy team. This is a valuable opportunity to help shape early literacy instruction in our district, inform implementation practices, and grow as a leader in curriculum and instruction. Stipend: $750 for full participation.
