HIRING For: Live Horse Racing Promotions, Offsite Events and Guest Services

• Location: On-site. Running Aces Casino, Hotel, & Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025
• Schedule: Seasonal Position; May through September. Shifts may include varying days and hours including morning, mid-day, and evening shifts, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
• Compensation: $17.00/Hourly

• Description: Running Aces Casino, Hotel, and Racetrack is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for an Entry-Level Marketing Internship with a key focus on Marketing, Events, and Promotions – specifically Racing Promotions during the Live Horse Racing Season.  This position would be responsible for running all promotions and events during Live Races every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday throughout the summer months of May through September. This position would also involve attending and supporting off-site Marketing Events such as Golf Tournaments throughout the summer months. Another key responsibility of this role will be working various events such as concerts, vendor shows, special events, and more. This position would also entail working alongside the Guest Relations Department to provide support and customer service at our Casino Front Desk. 

Responsibilities: 
 

• Setup on all Live Race Nights. Which includes but is not limited to, setting up tables, chairs, and signage.
• Running and executing all Promotions on Live Race Nights.
• Work with sponsors on Race Nights to assist with their fundraising events.
• Interact with guests and provide key customer service.
• Rallying guests to participate in events and promotions.
• Assist in selling and occasional printing of Live Racing Programs.
• Develop new ideas and promotions to potentially implement during the Live Race Season. 
• Represent Running Aces at sponsored off-site events.
• Assist in working the Front Desk, to include selling merchandise.
• Assist with working special events such as concerts.
• Knowledge of all current events, promotions, and activities happening on a daily basis.
• Create recap presentations on all sponsored race nights that include graphics, advertisements, on-site coupon redemptions, and more. 

Job Requirements 

• Must have relevant job experience. Both Customer Service and Hospitality experience preferred. 
• Must be approachable, dependable, reliable, and maintain both a positive and professional attitude.
• Must be highly motivated and energized to work both independently and as a team player. 
• Must be able to multi-task with many events and promotions going on at the same time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to handle guest issues in a friendly and "Can Do" attitude.
• Must be 18 years of age or older. 
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate computers including knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Work with Guest Relations and Marketing Managers on daily basis.
• Ability to work with numbers and cash handling experience. 
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 
• Must be available for varying shifts and days, including nights and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of the Bravo and Micros system a plus but not a requirement.
