What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at North & Maple?
North & Maple in Tinley Park, IL is looking for one host/hostess to join our team. We are located on 18401 North Creek Drive. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. The host is the first person the guests meet, and so we are looking for someone who can be genuinely welcoming, friendly and professional. We are looking for a well presented, engaging individual who can provide thoughtful service in an approachable, efficient and knowledgeable way.
Responsibilities:
- Greets all guests entering the restaurant and thanking them when they leave
- Answers the phone, take phone orders, manage reservations, and can provide knowledgeable information
- Manages the flow of Guests into the dining and lounge area, provides accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
- Tends to special guests needs and requests
- Seats customers
Skills & Requirements:
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a high volume environment, demonstrate quick thinking and can adapt to unpredictable and constantly changing situations
- Strong work ethic and a genuine sense of hospitality
- Communicate with other staff members (everyone willingly does everyone else’s job if needed)
- Must be able to walk and stand during the entire shift
- MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS
