What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Lead Custodian - Amboy Elementary position at North Little Rock School District?
Custodian - NLRSD will keep the building clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities and notifying maintenance of needs for repairs.
Some essential functions of the position:
-Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, scrubbing, or vacuuming daily
-Gather and empty trash from receptacles both inside and outside daily
-Strip, finish, and buff floors
-Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegee
-Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
-Clean carpets
-Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
-Set-up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
-Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
-Perform other job related tasked not mentioned above as assigned by the Building Principal and/or Custodial Supervisor
