Position: Teacher (CTE- Marketing Education)
Location: North Lincoln High School
Terms of Contract: 10 months, full-time, benefit eligible Reports To: PrincipalMonthly Salary: Teacher State Salary Schedule (plus local supplement)
FLSA: EXEMPT
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Education, a closely related marketing degree or relevant work experience in a marketing field; must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina teaching license (730) in Marketing Education. The successful applicant must serve as the DECA Advisor.
Goal: To prepare students for postsecondary education and careers and provide students with the meaningful and engaging instruction for and about marketing. Instruction in marketing education encompasses various marketing skills and techniques, professional sales, merchandising, digital marketing, and management. Business, Finance and Marketing education plays a key role in preparing a competent, business-literate, and skilled workforce. To develop inquiry-based, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they relate to the accelerated shifts taking place in the business world and how these changes impact the skills, attitudes and abilities needed for success in today’s workplace.
