Guidance Secretary, North Lincoln High School
Permanent, full-time, 8 hours per day, 10-months / benefit eligible

Salary
Grade 58 ($16.07 - $21.69 per hour), plus local supplement.

The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position.  Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes.  For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School diploma
• Knowledge of general office and clerical procedures
• Relevant experience desired
• Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and TB test before starting employment.

Duties

• General office and clerical procedures
• Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to proper person
• Answers telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information
• Maintains an attractive and comfortable reception area that includes a reading table stocked with current school district publications and periodicals of general interest
• Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects
• Reports immediately the presence in the building of any visitor who bypasses the reception desk or any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors
• Other duties as assigned
