Our ministry includes a full program of church activities for all ages that includes both Traditional and Contemporary services, Adult Bible Studies, and Discipleship programs along with Children and Youth ministries. There are numerous other related programs and fellowship activities that have blessed the members and surrounding community for the past 25 years.
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Communications Director leads the strategy, development, and execution of all church communications to support congregational engagement, community outreach, and church growth. This role is responsible for shaping a clear, compelling, and consistent voice across all platforms—digital, print, and in-person—while leveraging creative storytelling, social media, video, and web presence to expand the church’s reach and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
"Communications Strategy & Growth"
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the church’s mission, vision, and growth goals
- Identify opportunities to increase visibility, engagement, and attendance through targeted messaging and outreach
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry leaders to promote events, initiatives, and discipleship opportunities
- Maintain consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all channels
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the church’s mission, vision, and growth goals
- Identify opportunities to increase visibility, engagement, and attendance through targeted messaging and outreach
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry leaders to promote events, initiatives, and discipleship opportunities
- Maintain consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all channels
"Social Media Management"
- Create, schedule, and manage content across all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
- Develop engaging content that encourages sharing, connection, and community growth
- Monitor analytics and adjust strategy to improve reach and engagement
- Respond to messages and comments in a timely, welcoming, and pastoral manner equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
"Creative Content Development"
- Design visually compelling graphics for digital and print use (sermon series, events, campaigns, etc.)
- Write and edit content for emails, newsletters, bulletins, and promotional materials
- Tell the story of the church through testimonies, ministry highlights, and community impact
"Video Production & Editing"
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for worship services, social media, announcements, and special projects
- Collaborate with worship and tech teams to enhance livestream and recorded services
- Produce short-form and long-form video content that supports outreach and engagement
"Website Development & Management"
- Maintain and update the church website to ensure it is current, user-friendly, and aligned with branding
- Optimize website for visitor experience, including clear next steps for guests and new members
- Manage SEO and analytics to improve discoverability and engagement
- Ensure all events, registrations, and online forms are accurate and functional
"Team Leadership & Collaboration"
- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers or team members assisting with communications
- Coordinate with ministry leaders to ensure timely and effective promotion of events and programs
- Work closely with leadership to support church-wide initiatives and campaigns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or digital media (church or nonprofit experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Proficiency in video production and editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Experience managing and updating websites (CMS platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, etc.)

Physical Demand: Physically able to operate/move digital production equipment equal to or greater to 25 pounds. Frequent physical movement while holding/operating equipment, with safety protocols being always observed.
Working Conditions: Must be willing to occasionally work a non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours due to business needs.

Pay: Up to $57,000.00 per year
