Job Overview
The Principal serves as the educational leader of the school, responsible for ensuring a high-quality learning environment for students and staff. This role involves overseeing all aspects of school operations, including curriculum development, staff management, and community engagement. The Principal will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the community to foster an atmosphere conducive to academic excellence and personal growth.

Duties

• Lead and manage the school's educational programs and initiatives to ensure alignment with district goals and standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans that promote student achievement and well-being.
• Supervise faculty and staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Engage in fundraising activities to support school programs and initiatives.
• Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive school culture through effective communication with students, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Manage the school's budget effectively to ensure resources are allocated appropriately for maximum impact on student learning.
• Represent the school at public events, meetings, and conferences as needed.

Seeking a Certificated Principal to assist various Elementary principals within the North Kitsap School District.

The candidate we are looking for:

1.0 FTE continuing contract. Start date: July 1, 2026.

8.0 hrs/day x 219 days/year.

Compensation package commensurate with NKSD non-bargained administrators package.

Endorsement(s) required: WA State Administrator Certificate - Principal.
