What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehabilitation Group Counselor (Part Time) position at North Jersey Friendship House, Inc.?
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Participates actively as part of the treatment team by facilitating psychosocial and psychoeducational groups for members and completing daily documentation.
Shift: Monday through Friday: (9 am – 3 pm – ½ hour unpaid lunch included)

- Develop and lead scheduled groups as designated by the Senior Counselor and Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation
- Provide supportive counseling of members, during group time
- Conduct ongoing communication with primary Rehabilitation Counselors
- Provide supervision of students and/or volunteers assigned to the group
- Order supplies necessary for the program with the approval of the Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation
- Complete daily group notes and any other required documentation at the time of service (same day) in the Electronic Health Record system
- Complete training in a timely manner
- Participate in all staff and treatment team meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Director of Clinical and Vocational Rehabilitation
- BA in Human Services preferred
- Two (2) years of experience with adults in mental health settings and/or 2 years of education towards an associate or bachelor's degree in a mental health field program is required.
