POSITION SUMMARYThe Rehabilitation Aide - Floater supports day program members in pre-vocational activities across Food Services, Maintenance, and Workshop units at North Jersey Friendship House (NJFH). Responsibilities vary by assignment and are performed as needed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFood Services:- Orient members to kitchen operations and procedures.- Train members in food service skills and Department of Health regulations.- Collaborate with Food Service Manager on menu planning.- Supervise food prep, quality control, and member assignments.- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and enforce FIFO and HACCP standards.- Manage inventory and submit weekly food/non-food order lists.- Ensure accurate daily documentation in electronic health records.- Correct note discrepancies within 24 hours.- Respond to emails daily, professionally and in a timely manner.- Supervise in-house meal services and assist with deliveries as needed.- Conduct initial and quarterly evaluations using program forms.- Complete quarterly Department of Labor updates.- Lead task-oriented training groups (e.g., cashiering, hygiene).- Calculate daily work slips and submit weekly order lists.- Follow posted work schedule and wear full uniform.- Perform time studies and other assigned tasks.Production Workshop:- Orient new members to workshop procedures.- Set up daily workstations and assign tasks.- Supervise and assist members with work completion.- Maintain a productive and professional work environment.- Lead group activities as needed.- Report behavioral concerns to Production Manager and counselors.- Communicate regularly with counselors regarding member progress.- Drive to pick up/deliver workshop materials when necessary.- Complete initial and quarterly member evaluations.- Document daily notes and correct discrepancies promptly.- Respond to emails at designated times.- Perform time studies and other assigned duties.Maintenance:- Supervise all maintenance activities within NJFH.- Coordinate with Director of Facilities on issues and supply needs.- Evaluate members for community maintenance job readiness.- Assign and supervise daily maintenance tasks.- Communicate member progress with counselors.- Oversee building cleaning and maintenance.- Coordinate evacuation drills.- Develop training materials (videos, seminars, etc.).- Document daily notes and correct discrepancies promptly.- Respond to emails at designated times.- Perform time studies and other janitorial duties as assigned.Qualifications- High School Diploma required.- 2 years of food service experience preferred OR ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 60 days of hire and maintain certification.- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Schedule:Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.).Equal Opportunity Statement:North Jersey Friendship House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
