North Jersey Friendship House is Urgently Hiring a porter (janitorial position) to work in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Ideal candidates must be friendly, be a self-starter, able to take direction well.
The Porter will be responsible for cleaning areas of the building to ensure a clean and safe environment.

The Porter will be responsible for cleaning areas of the building to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Shift
- Monday through Friday - 4 Day Hours (7:30 am - 11:30 am)
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using specific cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.
- Minimum: 1-year previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- MUST have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
