North Indiana Retina is a new retina practice in South Bend and we are hiring several Ophthalmic Technicians. No experience in eye care is required because we provide full training. We are looking for people who enjoy working with patients, want to learn new skills, and can help support the daily operations of a medical office.
About the Role
Ophthalmic Technicians assist with both clinical care and front desk tasks. You will work closely with the physician and help patients throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Welcome and room patients
- Gather medical history and enter information in the EMR
- Take basic eye measurements and assist with diagnostic testing
- Prepare exam rooms and assist during procedures
- Help with patient instructions and follow-up care
Front Desk Duties:
- Check patients in and out
- Schedule appointments and answer phone calls
- Assist with patient questions
- Help maintain smooth office workflow
Additional Opportunities:
- Ability to shadow the physician during clinic visits
- Ability to observe surgeries in the operating room if interested

Schedule
- Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
- Part-time options are available
- No nights or weekends
