Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Procedure Scheduler to join our Axis Spine Team!

We need someone with a professional demeanor who will provide great customer service to our patients and is able to multitask!

The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient procedures, managing assigned provider procedure schedules, and ensuring all required documentation, authorizations, and clearances are obtained prior to the procedure date. This role verifies patient demographic and insurance information, maintains accurate scheduling and patient records, and collaborates closely with providers, nursing staff, hospital departments, and external vendors to ensure timely and successful procedures. The Procedure Scheduler provides excellent customer service to patients, providers, and external partners while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient computer skills, including EMR systems, word processing, and database applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience coordinating authorizations and pre-procedure documentation. (Preferred)
  • Experience working in a procedural or surgical clinic setting preferred. (Preferred)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of medical office or healthcare scheduling experience. (Preferred)
