About the Role: Mental Health Practitioner

We’re looking for a caring and motivated Mental Health Practitioner to provide direct, client-focused services like individual and group skills training in a school setting. You'll work hand-in-hand with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement tailored treatment plans, keep detailed documentation, and coordinate care across systems.


Your work will make a real difference in helping youth thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically—while supporting families, schools, and community partners along the way.


What You’ll Do

Build Relationships

  • Act as a trusted connector between families, schools, and community networks 
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately—both in writing and in person
  • Advocate for clients with professionalism and respect

Support Mental Health

  • Design and carry out individualized treatment plans alongside the care team 
  • Empower clients and families through education and resources
  • Focus on strengths while helping clients grow in key areas

Stay Sharp

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation
  • Stay current through training and professional development
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards at all times

Be a Team Player

  • Jump in to support team initiatives and respond to changing needs

Requirements

You're a great fit if you:

  • Meet Qualified Mental Health Practitioner criteria (qualifications can be reviewed here)
  • Have strong knowledge of parenting, child development, and family dynamics.
  • Have outstanding communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a heart for working with high-risk youth and families in crisis.
  • Are nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and have a strengths-based approach.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Travel to schools and service locations as needed.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Comfortable using computers and office equipment for daily documentation and communication.
