AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/31/2026

Position Summary

North Greenville University is receiving applications for two full-time teaching positions in the Department of Mathematics, to begin with the start of the 2026-27 Academic Year.  Rank and compensation will be commensurate with credentials and experience.  Candidates applying for this position should hold a master’s degree or higher in mathematics or closely related field with at least 18 credits of graduate math from an accredited institution.  Classroom teaching experience is preferred.  Applicants must be willing to teach a combination of developmental and introductory math topics (such as intermediate algebra, trigonometry, statistics, or calculus).  We welcome and encourage an interest in teaching a mid-to-upper-level specialty as well (such as geometry, numerical analysis, or stats for engineering).  Teaching load will be primarily in-person, traditional format.  Willingness to teach occasional online sections is highly beneficial.  The ability to integrate biblical faith in the teaching discipline is essential.

North Greenville University is a teaching university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention.  Members of the NGU faculty are orthodox Christians who have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, are role models in their piety and ethics, maintain active membership in an evangelical congregation, and mentor students academically and spiritually.  They are Christian scholars who reflect upon their discipline from the perspective of a biblical worldview and are expected to teach in accordance with, and not advocate contrary to, the university’s Statement on Human Flourishing.  All employees of NGU are required to abstain from illegal drugs and beverage alcohol, to agree to abide by the employee and faculty handbooks, including community standards agreements, and to affirm an understanding of, and willingness not to teach contrary to, the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
