Position Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Assistant Supervisor supports the Shift Supervisor in overseeing daily shift operations, supervising team members, and ensuring production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This role serves as a working lead and backup to the Shift Supervisor by helping coordinate workflows, monitor employee performance and attendance, support employee development, and maintain efficient operations across the department.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Shift Supervisor with daily operational responsibilities and department oversight.
- Perform supervisory duties at the direction and discretion of the Shift Supervisor.
- Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
- Review and approve employee timecards as assigned.
- Participate in corrective action discussions and documentation alongside the Shift Supervisor when necessary.
- Assist with employee vacation scheduling and approvals.
- Maintain attendance trackers in real time for unplanned absences and attendance-related updates.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and overall job performance.
- Support team members during daily production operations to ensure efficiency and product quality.
- Train, mentor, and support employees to promote skill development and operational success.

- Adaptability and flexibility in changing operational conditions.
- Mechanically inclined with initiative toward personal and professional development.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and execute assigned tasks effectively.
