Position Summary
The Sports Medicine Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Orthopaedic Associates sports medicine outreach in our community. This position serves as the primary liaison between coaches, physical therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure high-quality sports medicine services are delivered in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Relationship Development
- Serve as the primary representative for Orthopaedic Associates' sports medicine outreach initiatives throughout the community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, athletic programs, community organizations, coaches, athletic directors, and healthcare partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand sports medicine services and community partnerships.
- Coordinate educational programs, injury prevention seminars, community events, and health awareness initiatives.
- Promote Orthopaedic Associates as the preferred provider for orthopedic and sports medicine services throughout the region.
Program Coordination & Oversight
- Coordinate sports medicine coverage and outreach activities across all community partnerships.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality sports medicine services across all supported organizations.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery and community impact.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sports medicine outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain outreach calendars and coordinate physician, provider, and community event participation.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, community engagements, and program outcomes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports detailing outreach efforts, referral activity, community impact, and financial performance.
- Assist with budgeting, supply management, and resource allocation for outreach initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable healthcare standards.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote sports medicine services and community partnerships.
- Represent Orthopaedic Associates at community events, sporting events, health fairs, and business development opportunities.
- Assist in creating educational content, promotional materials, and community awareness campaigns.
- Support physician outreach efforts and strengthen referral relationships throughout the service area.
