What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position at North Florida Spine and Wellness?
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant — Integrative Neuro Practice
We're an integrative clinic that blends occupational therapy with functional neurology to treat the whole nervous system — not just the symptom. Our OTA works at the intersection of both worlds: delivering hands-on OT treatment and helping guide brain-based functional neurology therapy programs for a caseload that spans kids and adults. If you're curious about how movement, sensory processing, and neurological function connect, you'll learn things here you won't see anywhere else in town.
What you'll do:
- Deliver occupational therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed OT, following established plans of care
- Assist in delivering our functional neurology therapy programs (modalities like Interactive Metronome, balance and primitive-reflex work, and other brain-based interventions) alongside our clinical team
- Work with a varied case load and children and adults with varying abilities
- Track patient progress and keep clear, timely documentation
- Help create a warm, encouraging environment where patients and families feel supported
What we're looking for:
- Current Florida OTA license (or license-eligible), in good standing
- Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program; NBCOT certification
- Genuine interest in neurology, pediatrics, and integrative/whole-person care
- A self-starter who's coachable, dependable, and great with both children and adults
- New grads with the right attitude are encouraged to apply — we'll train you on our functional neurology approach
Why you'll like working here:
- A genuinely unique clinical model — expand your skills beyond standard OT
- Mentorship in functional neurology you can't get in a typical clinic
- Cash-pay model: more time with patients, less administrative grind
- Supportive, collaborative team that invests in your growth
- Benefits
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License (or eligible) (Required)
Work Location: In person
Salary : $25 - $30
