SECURITY GUARD I

Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Security Guard I is responsible for patrolling the premises of NEMS buildings to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of staffs and patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Greet and welcome incoming/outgoing patients in addition to providing basic information for site i.e. directions
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents.
• May work any day of the week, depending on need
• Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter.
• Monitor and control access building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Follow advice from the Security II during critical/dangerous situations
• Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possession of current California State Guard or Proprietary Private Security Officer Card.
• High School certification preferred.
• Must be able to work any day of the week, depending on need
• 1-2 years’ experience in a security role preferred.

LANGUAGE:

• Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.
• Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred
• Fluency in other languages are an asset.

STATUS:

This is an FLSA Non-exempt position.

This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
