We are seeking a Design Associate to join our in-office team and support design coordination efforts across multiple projects. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual eager to grow within an active real estate development environment.
Role Overview:
The Design Associate works closely with the Design Manager and cross-functional project teams including Development, Marketing, Construction, and Management to assist in the design and documentation of residential and mixed-use developments. This position provides early exposure to project planning, design execution, and collaboration with architects, consultants, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Design Manager in developing and coordinating design concepts throughout all phases of development.
- Prepare presentation materials, design packages, and sketches for internal reviews, design meetings, and stakeholder presentations.
- Research and source materials, finishes, furniture, and artwork consistent with the project vision and brand standards.
- Review consultant drawings and submittals to ensure consistency with approved design intent and project guidelines.
- Track and document communications among architects, interior designers, and vendors, including sample reviews and approvals.
- Contribute to the design of amenity spaces, guest rooms, and residential units focusing on brand alignment, comfort, and operational flow.
- Maintain updated project specifications, material libraries, and organized design archives for current and future use.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional experience in architecture, interior design, or a related design discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Proficiency in design and documentation software: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively work across internal departments and external partners.
- Keen eye for detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for architecture, design, and the development process.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
