We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Korean-speaking Dermatology Office Staff member with front desk and billing experience to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly in Korean and English, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, preferably have experience using ModMed EMA
- Verify insurance coverage, submit prior authorizations, explain billing procedures, and collect payments accurately using billing software
- Prepare and submit healthcare claims efficiently, utilizing knowledge of healthcare claims management, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards
- Maintain precise medical records, including documentation of medical history, procedures, and billing information
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper coding for dermatological services using medical coding standards
- Handle patient inquiries regarding health insurance coverage, billing questions, and appointment scheduling with excellent customer service skills
Skills
- Fluent in Korean and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dermatology practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with billing software and EMR/EHR systems
- Experience with medical collection processes and healthcare claims management
- Understanding of DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 classifications, and ICD coding for accurate billing
- Knowledge of health insurance policies and procedures related to dermatology services
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
