What are the responsibilities and job description for the K-6 Teacher Assistant position at NORTH DAVIS PREPARATORY ACADEMY?
A K-9 charter school located in Layton, Utah, is now accepting applications for a K-6 Teacher Assistant.
This position is a part-time position and will be working a minimum of 29.5 hours per week. Applicant will assist in a variety of forms, such as, but not limited to: working with small groups of students who need extra support, preparing class materials, correct and recording assignments and a wide variety of other services.
The School is Utah's first International Spanish Academy. Every student studies Spanish and experiences learning with international teachers. The School has more teachers from Spain than any other school in the United States and Canada. The vision of the School is to develop a love of learning, experience high academic achievement, and enjoy high bi-literate proficiency.
Qualified applicants will have passed the PRAXIS exam, or have an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree). Qualified applicant will work under direction of a certified teacher. Preference may be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching. Candidate must also submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
