Manager of Recruiting and Logistics
The North Dakota State University Division of Performing Arts seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Manager of Recruiting and Logistics. This position is a 12-month, exempt appointment with an anticipated start date of August 3, 2026 and a salary of $56,796-$63,000.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and implementing the Division’s annual recruiting plans for Theatre and Music in partnership with the Challey School of Music and Theatre NDSU’s faculty and staff. The position will also manage a variety of logistics related to recruiting events, school visits, and curricular and non-curricular ensemble and group travel.
Responsibilities include preparation of recruiting materials, overseeing campus recruiting efforts including on-campus recruiting events and scholarship auditions, managing Divisional TargetX prospective student data, coordinating recruiting efforts between the Division and the NDSU Office of Admissions to include conference representation (Theatre, NDMEA, ACDA, etc.), assisting with performing arts and NDSU Foundation events, cultivating and maintaining relationships with local music and theatre programs such as the Minnesota Thespian Festival, and overseeing large Divisional events, which could include such events as Drama Day, Music Day, the NDSU Choral Festival, and the NDSU Raging Red Band Festival.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in event logistics as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Music, marketing, communications, business administration, or related field
- Four years’ equivalent experience with an Associate’s degree or six years’ equivalent experience without a degree also considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Theatre or Music or related
- Three to five years of experience with event planning
- Experience handling complex budgets
- Experience working in higher education
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills (A/V equipment, conferencing tools, laptops/tablets)
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: MA/MM/MFA preferred
