What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Research Assistant position at North Dakota State University?
Multiple Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) positions are available, focusing on the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in agriculture and genomics. Students may enroll in either the Computer Science program (www.ndsu.edu/cs) or the Genomics, Phenomics and Bioinformatics (GPB) program (www.ndsu.edu/gpb) of North Dakota State University.
- Proficiency in PyTorch, machine learning, and the pretraining and fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs)
- Experience in developing AI agents and working with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with statistical software and data interpretation is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
