Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and perform the following tasks:

  • Develop and evaluate quality control plans for mortgage loan programs.
  • Determine proper quality control plan options for FNMA, GNMA, and general bond issues.
  • Research and monitor regulations to determine impact to agency, making recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Assess quality control plans for compliance with governing entities.
  • Select and review loans for compliance.
  • Document findings and prepare compliance reports for management.
  • Monitor findings and follow-up to determine compliance.
  • Document standard operating procedures for various departments and processes.
  • Prepare loans for audit, coordinating with external auditors and internal departments to provide all required documentation and information.
  • Monitor federal and insurer regulations affecting homeownership programs and provide guidance and training to the Homeownership Department to ensure proper implementation.
  • Create and maintain internal policies that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with NDHFA business needs.

NDHFA utilizes a blended workplace model. This position will be located in the Bismarck office. After completion of training, a hybrid schedule may be considered.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field OR
  • A combination of education and experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities in either the mortgage industry, loan compliance, or quality control at a financial institution.
  • Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and background check.

Monthly Hiring Range: $5,300-$6,600
