NDDOT Hiring Salary: $7,388 / month

As the Local Roadway Program Manager, you are the coordinator for programs such as Transportation Alternatives (TA) and Special Road Fund (SRF). This position coordinates project solicitation, creates agreements, environmental processes and approves reimbursement requests.

Project Management of local developed projects for roadway and bridge projects.

• Review project schedules and monitor activities for timely completion to meet the bid ready requirements.
• Provide guidance on development of project activities such as environmental clearance, permitting, utility coordination, etc.
• Review and provide feedback for project plans, specifications, and estimates needed to meet bidding requirements.
• Work with various NDDOT Divisions, FHWA, and other federal/state agencies.
• Attend Field reviews, public input meetings, project meetings, etc to provide technical assistance.

Local Roadway Program Coordinator.

• Coordinate the project selection and programming with local entities for funding and project delivery.
• Serve as the NDDOT contact person and subject matter expert pertaining to the local roadway program.
• Develop and execute agreements and contracts as necessary.
• Review, process, and approve payments with local entities.
• Prepare bid package for each project bid through the NDDOT.
• Review and coordinate all County Federal Aid route modifications.
• File and document correspondence, reports, etc., using current Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) techniques.

Special Road Fund and Transportation Alternatives Program Coordinator.

• Prepare solicitation notifications to entities eligible to apply, coordinate with selection committee for final approval.
• Serve as the NDDOT contact person and subject matter expert pertaining to the programs.
• Conduct project management of selected projects for timely and complete project development activities.
• Represent NDDOT as State Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator

Aid Local Government teams on other programs as requested by the Division Director.

• Aid on numerous tasks needed to fulfill requirements of Local Government programs such as Flex Fund Program, Emergency Relief Program, etc.
• Execute contracts and process payments.
• Work with Local Public Agencies and provide support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or construction management, and
• Four years of professional-level engineering work experience, and
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and
• Requires a class D driver's license for travel to visit bridges to scope projects.

Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and reference check.
