What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Manager position at North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Quality/Risk Manager position goal is to:
- Anticipate as a facility leader,
- Support facility adherence to quality/safety, and
- Coordinate the facility risk management program.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
To provide structure, guidance, education, training, investigation and direction for the facility quality and risk programs with the role of enhancing quality and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced long-term care (LTC) professional with at least two years of documented facility-based risk and quality roles. May be a LTC nurse or other LTC healthcare professional (e.g., therapist, administrator, health information manager, etc.).
STATUS:
Full Time Salary
HOURS:
This position is typically:
- Monday-Friday,
- During 8:00-5:00 pm
- Require periodic weekends, evenings and holidays based on investigation and or related needs.
DUTIES:
The Risk/Quality Manager role will include:
- Lead Risk/Quality Program.
- Participate as a facility leader.
- Complete reviews of incidents/accidents.
- Participate in facility Manager on Duty program.
- Review facility programs such as grievances, resident/family council, etc.
- Coordinate the facility Risk/Quality Committees under direction of Supervisor.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, reportable allegations and or confirmed reports.
- Complete facility safety/quality systems (e.g., quality, safety, environmental, etc.).
- Participate in facility new employee orientation, periodic training and annual education.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Risk/Quality Manager Supervisor
