Position Description: North Cross School is seeking a Basketball Coach for the 2025-2026 Winter season. North Cross is dedicated to providing and enriching educational experience to our students while fostering their personal and athletic growth. The position will report directly to the Director of Athletics. The Basketball Coach will: organize and implement daily practice plans, aid in reconciling, perform inventory, attend all athletic contests pertaining to their sport, and develop a culture that aligns with North Cross School’s mission and values. They will also provide instruction and compose correspondence and communication with current and prospective students and their families.
What You’ll Do:
- Be available from 3-6 p.m. for M-F practices.
- Games will vary between weekdays and weekends.
- Organizing and implementing daily, weekly and monthly practice plans.
- Perform beginning and end of the year season inventory.
- Ability to drive a minibus (14 passenger) and/or a CDL bus.
Who You Are:.
- Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Prior coaching experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.

- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Tools, Equipment & Machines for the Job:
- Typical supplies will be basketballs, a net, and any other sports related equipment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work occurs indoors in an office environment, but is not limited to moving around campus and being outside on occasion.
- Employees work the hours needed to complete the job.
- You must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
- Clear vision at 20 inches or less.
- Normal hearing requirements.
- Perform minimal physical activities that require use of arms, legs, and moving your whole body for standing, walking, sitting, bending, grasping, stooping, or kneeling.
- No criminal background or history of drug/alcohol abuse. (Subject to background check)
