Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Independent Contractor – Hybrid Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as an Independent Contractor in a flexible hybrid role serving the Alexandria, Minnesota area.

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Provide patient education and supportive psychotherapy as appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
- Follow ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice
QualificationsRequired
- Active or eligible Minnesota APRN license
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative care practices
Preferred
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health
- Interest in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults
- Telehealth experience (not required)
