Student Management Assistant (anticipated)

The North Country Union Junior High School seeks a creative, collegial, and motivated support staff member to join our middle school team and school family. Our school mission is to be a community that shares the responsibility for the intellectual and personal development of all learners within an environment of trust, safety and respect.Position Summary: The Student Management Assistant provides high-level behavioral support to students, assuring appropriate processing of and responses to student conduct.QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Associate degree in a related field preferred, or at minimum 48 college credits.2.Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in working with students who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.3.Experience with Google Workspace applications and ability to learn relevant software as needed.4.Ability to communicate, collaborate, and relate effectively with others.5.Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, as well as the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.6.Ability to de-escalate and process with students in a constructive manner.7.Experience with restorative practices preferred. 8.CPI certified, or willingness to get certified.Salary & Benefits: As per the support staff negotiated collective agreement.
