What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hazing, Harassment, and Bullying (HHB) Coordinator position at North Country Supervisory Union?
Position Summary: The Hazing, Harassment, and Bullying (HHB) Coordinator helps oversee the prevention, investigation, and response to incidents of harassment, hazing, and bullying within the Newport City and Derby Elementary Schools. This position would help foster a safe and inclusive environment (beyond baseline required services) for all students and staff by carrying out policies, educating students, caregivers and staff, and supporting victims of such behavior.
Qualifications:
College degree in human services, a licensed educator or degree in related field.
Demonstrated experience working with youth.
Working knowledge of HHB and Title IX laws and procedures, state and federal laws related to the prevention and remediation of HHB and Title IX.
Clear written, oral, inter-personal and communication skills.
Self-motivated to function efficiently by prioritizing independently with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience conducting investigations and clear commitment to impartiality.
Computer literate with competency in Google and Microsoft Suite, spreadsheets & databases.
The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
Salary and benefits: Hourly rate between $28.35 and $30.00, depending on experience. Benefits per employment policy. This is a school session position.
