Title: Director After School Program (Flipside)

Reports to: Lower School Principal


Purpose: Provides leadership, development and coordination of the After School (Flipside) for North Cobb Christian School.

Qualifications:  

  • Educational Level: Bachelor Degree
  • Certification/License Required: Must be certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Experience: 3 years experience working in school age after school programs with progressive responsibilities including experience in a supervisory role.
  • Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Instructional strategies that connect curriculum/activities to students
  • Discipline and student management
  • Hands on experience with utilizing data to make informed decisions
  • Personal commitment to service and hospitality
  • Working knowledge of computer based programs such as but not limited to the Google Platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Recruits, trains, develops schedules, supervises and evaluates the after school.
  • Reviews and approves staff time sheets.
  • Develops, plans and manages best practices through engagement of the staff.
  • Ensures that required materials, supplies and equipment are available.
  • Implements appropriate procedures for severe weather, fire, accidents, fights, personnel conflicts, etc.
  • Communicate with parents as needed.
  • Fosters a climate of innovation and excitement.
  • Effectively manages the after school budget.
  • Holds staff accountable for high quality results using a formal process to measure progress and quality programming.
  • Cultivates, supports and expands partnerships between teachers and families to best support all students.
  • Collaboratively works with Lower School Principal to ensure coordination, communication, marketing and space for students participating in our after school.
  • Ensures the program complies with all applicable laws, regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • In attendance whenever programs or services are provided.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by administration including possible scheduling and organizational support for summer camp. 

Other Information:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 10:40 a.m. - 6:40 p.m. with some exceptions 10 month employee
  • Benefits include medical & dental plan, retirement plan and tuition discount.
