Job Overview
The Associate, Logistics works to support the overall Logistics Department. This individual should be highly organized and possess stellar written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high regard for customer satisfaction, be a team player, and can think quickly on their feet.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer customer inquiries, with customer service as a top priority through all interactions
- Develop a general understanding of customer specifics including site needs and pricing
- Schedule/monitor shipments, costs, timelines and productivity keeping in mind customer specifics
- Facilitate communication by liaising and negotiating with customers, suppliers, drivers and warehouse team
- Address and resolve shipments problems or delays
- Collaborate with operations internally and externally with customers and suppliers
- Driver and Truck file management
- Equipment Management including Preventative Maintenance and Repair
- Work with sales team to identify revenue opportunities and increase profitability
- Recommend process improvements for area of responsibility
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management and to support management of Driver Logs and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Report compliance matters to appropriate manager

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to monitor and track driver software and scheduling software
- Must possess positive, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Must possess emotional intelligence with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and best practices
