Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Competitive Team Coach at North Coast Gymnastics Academy, located in Bellingham, WA. Responsibilities include planning and leading gymnastics training sessions, developing individualized training programs for competitive team members, encouraging skill development, and ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times. The coach will also mentor athletes by fostering teamwork and sportsmanship while actively collaborating with other staff members to achieve team goals. Administrative duties related to team practice planning and competition participation may also be required.
Qualifications
- Experience and expertise in gymnastics skills instruction across various levels and strong knowledge of competitive gymnastics routines and expectations.
- Abilities in coaching, mentoring, and motivating young athletes to excel within a positive and disciplined environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills for planning training schedules and preparing for competitions.
- Experience in ensuring adherence to safety protocols and risk management practices in athletic settings.
- Effective communication with athletes, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative and encouraging environment.
- Previous experience as a gymnastics coach or comparable qualifications is highly desirable.
- Background in physical education, child development, or related fields is a plus.
- Commitment to fostering personal growth, teamwork, and a passion for gymnastics within athletes.
