EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

· 40 hours per week, 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday
· Salary range is $22.04-$30.94 per hour, depending on experience|

SUMMARY: Provides initial point of contact support for employees and volunteers for technical inquires and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, responding to information systems requests as assigned, and performing a wide variety of preventative maintenance and installations on new and existing equipment and programs.Escalates more complex issues to senior IT staff. Performs technical support tasks and duties that aid the department and organization to meet service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

· Responsible for administration, coordination, and execution of Tier I and continues growth in professional knowledge, competency and skills to advance to perform Tier II IT tasks.

~Tier I: Provides support services to internal and/or external users of the organization’s computer systems and IT network. Acts as a first level problem identification and resolution resource, including answering, providing advice, troubleshooting and following-up to assist users. Coordinate user problem resolution with other areas if necessary and document, track and report reoccurring issues.

~Tier II: Assists Network Administrator with data backups and recovery and backend support issues. Troubleshoots more complex problems, escalates issues to other senior IT staff as needed, and provides higher level of technical expertise.

· Deploys, installs, manages, and troubleshoots end user computing hardware and peripherals such as workstations, laptops, projectors, printers, copiers and other technology devices or general equipment.

· Provides current software and hardware updates as necessary. Establishes and maintains workstation software and hardware standards of consistency in configuration, including related peripheral (scanners, monitors, equipment, etc.).

· Assists with monitoring the Service Desk support queue and prioritizes service requests when needed. Follows up to ensure outstanding issues are being resolved, communicate with stakeholders and updated through the ticketing system including making notes regarding triage activities and resolution solutions,

· Maintains and monitors inventory of desktop and laptop computers and peripherals, including network printers, spare components and associated supplies.

· Executes and monitors nightly IT processes.

· Completes or assists with special project research and recommendation on a variety of items.

· Researches and tests new software and hardware solutions to determine best options available.

· Provides support to members for technical issues related to online systems and services.

· Creates, inactivates and manages current and new employees network accounts, user access and licensing.

· Assists with technology related training for employees. Ability to assist staff in remote branch locations and remote workers (in person and on the phone) with the efficient handling of the member’s needs in resolution of problems. May travel to branches as necessary.

· Supports other IT staff as needed on tasks to facilitate advancement of IT Specialist skill advancement and learning.

· May assist with the collection of cost data for budgeting purposes, invoice and bill research and validation

· Coordinates timely communication updates to staff on items impacting them.

· Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes and procedures.

· Makes suggestions for IT and business service and systems improvements.

· Stays up-to-date on the latest technologies and job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional work groups and organizations.

· May assist as a liaison between organization facilities related vendors and work that needs to be done. (Examples: electricians, HVAC, garbage, recycle, janitorial, landscaping, etc.)

· Promotes and maintain a positive image of North Coast Credit Union at all times to all personnel, members and the community.

· Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must understand credit union products and services to be able to assist staff and members in providing superior member services. Demonstrate a cooperative and positive attitude toward all staff and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Ensure Information Technology and other functions are completed in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of two years related experience, training, or equivalent experience in telecommunications, PC, Network or help desk technical support. Working knowledge or Microsoft Office software, Active Directory and Web browsers.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Information Technology Industry specific certifications, such as CompTIA A , CompTIA Network, Microsoft Administrator Certificate, etc., are preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to write business correspondence interacting with vendors. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to members, supervisor, and other employees of the organization. Possesses required knowledge and ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and discuss highly technical concepts with individuals of varying technical understanding and skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY: Issue identification and problem solving is critical. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Demonstrate ability to exercise appropriate judgement, initiative and tact when interacting with members, staff, leaders and volunteers. Ability to focus on details and to prioritize work. Excellent research skill using the internet and other sources are required.

TRANSPORTATION: A vehicle in good working order is required for this position as traveling between branches and other locations is critical. Often a personal vehicle must be used to transport Credit Union related supplies and items.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Preferred work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday, with occasional night and weekend work as needed for critical off-hours tasks, projects, or services.
