We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager for our location in Cleveland, Ohio.

We have 7 facilities in Oregon, California, North Carolina, and Ohio that supply new steel drums, reconditioned steel drums, reconditioned IBCs, plastic drums, and recycled plastic. The Logistics Manager will plan and manage logistics, including inventory (finished goods) and transportation. Manages the movement, distribution and storage of finished goods in the distribution network. Hire, train, develop and evaluate employees. Owns logistics metrics and reports for upper management; negotiates transportation related costs and fees, and works to improve the efficiency of the company’s distribution network ultimately minimizing distribution and logistics cost while proving excellent service to our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
· Performs and/or directs daily Yard Checks for accurate inventory of trailers
· Tracks trailer usage and location daily
· Completes weekly Dropped Trailer Report at Customer locations
· Ensures enough trailers are available and assigns appropriate trailers for production
· Partners with Maintenance companies for upkeep of trailer inventory and annual inspections.
· Partners with Carriers and Leasing companies for lease rates, trailer turnover, condition, and lane rates
· Manages work performance of Switch Truck Drivers
· Manages daily production schedule for correct quantities and appropriate delivery lead times.
· Maintains Customer Inventory by using Yard Check sheet
· Partners with Loading Dock to coordinate trailers
· Inputs data into system to track loads
· Creates Bills of Lading daily
· Manages short term and long-term goals for delivery dispatch to ensure all orders can be delivered timely
· Builds and maintains carrier relations, which include providing information on all deliveries
· Manages Carrier On Time Delivery reports
Other Duties:
· Report out during Quarterly Business Reviews on department performance
· Serve as 24/7 on call support for orders, yard/trailer and issues.
· Creates Monthly Finished Drum inventory report
· Reviews and approves Trailer Maintenance and Carrier Rate invoices
· Assist in unloading drums when needed
Qualifications:

Required Education, Skill, and Experience:
· High School Graduate OR GED
· Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management – OR – 8 to 10 years in Transportation Management
· Computer Literate in Microsoft software (i.e. ppt, excel)
· 5 years related to logistics experience required
· 3 to 5 managerial experience
· Customer facing logistics experience
· Multi-level presentation & communication skills (internally and externally)
· Understanding DOT rules and regulations
· 3 years driving and/or 2 years dispatching – preferred
Work Environment:
· Office – controlled environment with data entry/typing (ergonomics).
· Plant Conditions – including some loud noise, heat, cold and atmospheric (fumes and vapors) conditions (frequent).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
