Summary: North Central Family Medical Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing affordable, accessible healthcare and pharmacy services to patients of all ages with locations in Rock Hill and Chester.


Under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, primarily responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and delivery of quality clinical services at all sites. Clinical services include all clinical support services and staff.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assures that high quality clinical care is provided across all clinical programs and that clinical functions are integrated.
  • Devises strategies and plans for the clinical department according to company standards for excellent service and growth.
  • Leads effort to improve quality clinical outcomes and clinic operations.
  • Oversee the functions of key systems vital to successful clinical operations.
  • Plan, oversee, and evaluate all patient care or administrative operations and programs related to clinical services.
  • Monitors and ensures clinical and operational performance standards are maintained across all sites.
  • Develops, reviews and updates policies, procedures, process improvement, training and evaluation that help support efficient clinic workflows, productivity, quality improvement and customer service.
  • Maintains working knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of clinical concepts, principles, and processes across sites.
  • Works with Nurse Manager to optimize staffing, workflow policies and procedures, as needed to meet clinical goals.
  • Facilitates and supports process improvement initiatives that enhance team based care, improved clinic
  • Ensures efficient patient care workflow through a team approach.
  • Participates in quality improvement, infection control and other various departmental meetings.
  • Participates in outside clinical and administrative meetings of which the organization is a member or benefit the sustainment of the organization.
  • Recruits employees to ensure departments are staffed with qualified personnel.
  • Ensures personnel are provided with clinical training and opportunities for continuous development.
  • Evaluates performance and discipline employees when necessary.
  • Provides direct supervision to Nurse Manager.
  • Ensures compliance with legal guidelines, regulatory requirements, internal policies and quality standards.
  • Serves as administrative clinical lead in participation with audits and the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Provides oversight and leadership for clinical and operational projects.
  • Creates, analyzes and presents data and reports as relevant to clinical operations.
  • Leads clinical support department meetings.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of Nurse Manger and in-direct supervision of all clinical support positions.

Education/Experience:

  • RN license
  • Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • At least five (5) years of management experience in a healthcare or medical setting

  • Ability to embrace, manage diversity and build and maintain successful teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinical
