Position: Part Time Special Education Teacher
Reports to: Darci Lynch Superintendent
Employed by: North Central Academy
Nature of the Position: The primary responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher is to provide assistance to students through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration. The teacher will implement a results-based special education program aimed at promoting student achievement while forming positive relationships with students.
Responsibilities of the Position:
1. Subscribes to the motto: “Action Over Words, Service Over Self”.
2. Identify needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments to develop appropriate goals and objectives for each student.
3. Work collaboratively with students, staff, and administration.
4. Plan, prepare and monitor individualized learning plans according to Individual Educational Plans (IEP).
5. Effectively communicate with parents on a frequent basis.
6. Maintain accurate and complete records on compliance with school district regulations and legal requirements.
Requirements for the Position:
1. Applicants will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid special education teaching certificate in the State of Michigan.

Pay/Other:
Daily rate, a healthy living stipend to promote fitness, uniform allowance, and paid vacation days.

Pay: $20,000.00 - $33,000.00 per year
