What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at North Cedar Trucking?
Looking to hire a full time Diesel Mechanic to perform Heavy/Medium/Light truck repairs and maintenance work.
Duties and responsibilities may include: Determining units condition by conducting inspection and diagnostic tests. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Maintain vehicle records with documentation of service and repairs. Using good judgement to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of power tools required to perform all phases of truck/trailer repair and maintenance. Work well independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Preferred minimum 2 years of experience in heavy duty truck repair. Combination of education, training or experience will be taken into consideration. Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable. CDL is preferred. Must be able to pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay will be based on experience and knowledge.
