Position Summary
North Cedar is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Secondary Mathematics Teacher to serve students in grades 7–12. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics instruction, committed to student growth, and skilled in delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of adolescents.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum for grades 7–12

Plan and implement engaging lessons using a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English learners

Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly

Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance

Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

Collaborate with colleagues in professional development

Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress and expectations

Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field

Valid state teaching certification/licensure for secondary mathematics (grades 7–12 or equivalent)
