Position Overview

This full-time in-person position is an integral part of the NCRLA team responsible for the planning and execution of events for the NCRLA and for assisting in the development of marketing materials including content for web, print and other materials for Corporate Partnerships.

 

Event Planning & Execution

Support the development and delivery of NCRLA’s signature events, including Stars of the Industry, Chef Showdown, Rally in Raleigh, Manteo to Murphy, the Future of Hospitality Golf Tournament, the ProStart Competition, and regional meetings. Responsibilities include managing event setup and registration within NCRLA’s database and website, coordinating with vendors to secure and organize all event materials (e.g., linens, food and beverage partners, signage, and registration supplies), and assisting with the creation of detailed run-of-show documents and staff/volunteer assignments. This role also oversees preparation of registration materials, ensures on-site readiness, and maintains accurate event budgets, including reconciliation with the organization’s financial systems.


Sponsorship & Advertising Support

Assist in executing NCRLA’s advertising and sponsorship programs by maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners and allied members. This includes tracking and fulfilling partner deliverables, managing the Advertising Deliverables Calendar, and ensuring alignment with national restaurant and hospitality association partnerships. The role also supports allied members in maximizing their investment through strategic promotional opportunities and collaborates with partners to develop webinars and seminars that provide value to members. Additional responsibilities include preparing, transporting, and managing event materials, as well as traveling to meetings and events, including overnight stays as needed.


Digital Content & Communications

Provide ongoing support for NCRLA’s digital presence and communications initiatives. This includes updating website content such as event pages, calendars, and archived materials; assisting with social media execution in coordination with the marketing and communications team; and preparing regular communications such as the weekly Restaurant Activity Report. The role also contributes to tracking and reporting by updating monthly metrics and communications dashboards. Additional duties may include general support across communications, marketing, customer service, and office operations as needed.

This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to supporting NCRLA’s mission and member engagement efforts.

Desired Education, Experience, and Skills

Certified in Cvent or equivalent, event/marketing hospitality software. 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality industry.

Strong organizational and communication skills, emphasizing attention to detail.

Experience coordinating meetings using online platforms (Zoom/Teams/QTego, Event.gives)

Experience with communications activities, including social media and digital media.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, content management systems (Mailchimp and/or Constant Contact) and events management programs.

Ability to engage with and relate well to others.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Ability to meet deadlines reliably and enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously.
