As a premier Historically Black University, The NCCU School of Education offers undergraduate, graduate, licensure and professional programs to train students to become teachers, counselors, and administrators in PK-16 schools and related settings. The school offers traditional, classroom-based instruction as well as instruction via the Internet and teleconferencing. Faculty and staff bring diverse knowledge and experience, provide students with unique learning experiences, teach in small class settings for easier access to each other and their instructors, and employ the latest technology. The School of Education houses two academic departments: the Department of Curriculum & Instruction and the Department of Counseling & Higher Education.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Program Coordinator will support the implementation of an integrated behavioral health training program for counseling students, under the supervision of the Project Director. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and day-to-day management of the project.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
Education: A Master's degree in Counseling

- At least 2 years of experience in program coordination, administration, or management, preferably in the behavioral health, education, or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with the needs and challenges of underserved communities, particularly in behavioral health.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
