Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business or related field preferred or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years professional work experience in fund development; healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience in writing government proposals with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Experience preparing technical project proposals or reports for funding groups or agencies.
- Ability to respond quickly to new fundraising opportunities and to changing priorities.
- Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented, and possess the ability to “flow” with non-profit culture essential.
- Must have the ability to work comfortably with a variety of program team members at various levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and fundraising databases.
- Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension and expression.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal to no supervision.
- Excellent follow-through with projects and strong attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial – must be willing and able to take initiative and handle a multitude of tasks under the pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as projects necessitate.
