NBHS is seeking an energetic, team-oriented candidate to perform routine custodial activities such as cleaning bathrooms, cleaning classrooms and offices, sweeping hallway floors, maintaining the cafeteria's cleanliness, and assisting with clean up following events/community activities. The night sweeper may also be responsible for securing the building in the evenings.
Position Details
Hours: 5.75 hours per day
Contract Length: 182 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
- 7 plannning days
- 1 extended day
Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Full-time with benefits
Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
2026-2027 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step 0): $14.84/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10): $16.89/hour

- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
