Full Job Description:
The Cardiac sonographer/Echo Tech will be performing high quality echocardiograms. This position is a PRN position that needs someone that has strong work ethic, attention to detail, and has superior knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct job duties in accordance with ORCO Echo lab’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Maintain supplies and work area in compliance with infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure excellent patient care.
- Adhere to safety and patient privacy policies (HIPPA compliance)
- Ability to work independently
- All employees have a responsibility to comply with our organization’s policies and procedures, and the code of conduct.
Education and/experience:
- Degree from an accredited ultrasound program.
- Registered and an RDCS (through ARDMS) or RCS (through CCI). -Required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)-required
- Prefer someone with at least one year of echo experience (but new graduates are welcome to apply).
- State licensure required through OBMI
- Prefer some pediatric experience
- Prefer that candidate is able to start IV's
