What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess position at North Beach Village Resort?
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Answers telephone address customers queries, processes and tracks reservations in Opentable according to established procedures
- Escort guests to assigned dining tables
- Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their servers name.
- Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
- Control the volume of the restaurant and assure guests waiting are practicing social distance
- Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition, and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
- Processes and handles all take-out/delivery food orders in accordance with established procedures
- Other duties may be assigned by the department head

Qualifications:- Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner
- Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events
- Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash handling policies and procedures
- Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to withstand working in heat, rain, sun, and cold
- Attention to cleanliness and safety

- Responsible and trustworthy
- High school diploma is a plus but not required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
